Tylon Michael Broughton, loving son, father, brother and friend, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday June 1, 2022.
Born in Hartford on July 7, 1970, he was the son of Carletha Whitley of West Hartford and Salvatore Malgioglio (Alfredia Clyde-Malgioglio) of California. Tylon was best known for his love for fishing, and could be found at any pond, river, stream or ocean with a pole in hand on any given day. He showed his care and concern for others as a PCA, and was man’s best friend to a number of four legged companions, especially Thunder, Storm, Reign and Mello, as his affection for dogs was life-long. Tylon was affectionately known as the “grill man” at almost every cookout that he hosted or attended, and was the life of the party with a passion for music, dancing and entertaining. Remembered as a man with a heart of gold and a fierce, unwavering love for his family and friends, he will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter Kiya Broughton and her mother, Kim Arcari; his sisters, Armita Broughton and Lori Broughton; his two sisters Danielle and Lauren and brother Giovanni Malgioglio; his nieces and nephews, Brian, LaKeva, Kevonna, Jamal, Malachi, Jaylen, Janelle, Eddie, Sharina, Jasmine, Chelsea, Jamil, Omar, Sarah, and Amire; along with a large extended family and wide circle of friends. He was predeceased by his son, Tylon M. Broughton, Jr.
