Stanley Myslenski Obituary

Stanley "Mich" Myslenski, 79, of Plainville, beloved husband for 59 years of Cynthia "Tina" (Theriault) Myslenski, passed away peacefully at home on Jan 3rd, 2021 surrounded and comforted by his family. Stanley was born in New Britain, CT to the late Henry and Janina (Baranowska) Myslenski.

Stanley attended E.C. Goodwin Tech and was a member of the baseball team after which he served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. While in the Army, Stanley was a member of the rifle team and a decorated marksman bringing home several trophies. Upon returning from his military service he first settled in New Britain. He and his wife moved their young family to Plainville where they would raise their five children. He worked for over 39 years in the same plastic manufacturing plant in Kensington and was well regarded for his knowledge of the plastic extrusion process. His expertise enabled him to travel throughout North America and Europe helping to start-up and improve several plant operations.

Stanley was an avid and accomplished golfer and long-time member of Timberlin Men’s Golf Association in Berlin, CT. It’s always a proud moment when family members visit Timberlin Golf Course and are able to point out Stanley’s name on several of the award plaques hanging on the clubhouse walls. Stanley introduced his sons to golf and the first Saturday in May was a special time when he and his boys played together in the Plainville High School Baseball Team fundraiser golf tournament. Stan was a life-long fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and after retirement found enjoyment taking trips to the casino with his wife and daughters.

Stanley will be cherished in the memories of his children: David and his wife Lori of Seabrook, TX, Paul and his wife Adrienne of Leesburg, VA, Elizabeth Sheridan of Plainville, Penny Reola and her husband Michael of Plainville, and Peter Myslenski of North Charleston, SC. He leaves his sister Regina Pina, and brothers Edward, Henry and John Myslenski, and eleven loving grandchildren; Sarah Young and Rebecca Scroggins, Ryan, Lisa and Christopher Myslenski, Lauren, Brandon, and Lindsey Sheridan, and Tyler, Tiffany, and Courtney Goodall, and two great-grandchildren Laurel Young and Emersyn Scroggins. He also leaves a large extended family, his sister-in-law Penny Fleming, his brother-in-law Edward Dorsey and his wife Roseanne, and brother-in-law Patrick Dorsey and his wife Dawn and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Kenneth Theriault and his wife Joan and their two children Patrick and Lori, and his brother-in-law James Fleming.

A private Mass for family will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. Burial at Forestville Cemetery will be private for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainville Community Food Pantry 54 South Canal Street Plainville CT 06062.
