Rosemarie Miller Obituary

Rosemarie June Miller, 90, of Plainville, affectionately known as “Girlie,” passed away peacefully on October 31, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Miller.

Rosemarie was born February 8, 1932 in New Britain, CT daughter to the late Anton and Elise (Hafner) Hartz. She grew up in New Britain and attended local schools. Later in life, she went on to earn her associate’s degree. She was very proud to be the “oldest” one in the graduating class. Above all jobs or titles held, Girlie was a devoted mother and homemaker, always supporting her family. She was very artistic and crafting came naturally to her. When Rosemarie wasn’t in her own element crafting, basket weaving, or sewing, she was sharing her passion with others while attending craft fairs. She was a member of the Plainville Senior Center and always looked forward to the social events that were held or a game of setback with her friends or family. Rosemarie loved gardening, especially bountiful flowers. She spent many years at her home away from home, the family cottage where she hosted many gatherings and picnics where all were welcome. Rosemarie was a snowbird for many years, traveling to Florida or North Carolina for the winters and returning back to the summers in New England. A woman with a great sense of humor, who was always ready to crack a joke, she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Rosemarie is survived by her daughters, Debbie George and her husband, Gary, and Barbra Luebeck; her son, Rob Miller and his wife, Marcy; her grandchildren, Becca George, Keri Connell and her husband, Luke, Mike and Keith Luebeck, and RJ, Krystyna, and Marissa Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Gabby George and Casey Connell. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, David and Ricky Miller and her grandson, Chris Luebeck.
