Ralph Roger Nuzzo

Ralph Roger Nuzzo, 75, of Plainville passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2022.

Roger was born in New Haven on August 31, 1946 son to the late Ralph and Anne (Mailhot) Nuzzo. He moved to Bristol, attended Bristol schools and graduated from E.C. Goodwin Tech. He worked in security at Tunxis Community College and for various schools. Roger was a hard-working man and a jack-of-all trades. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling, printing and photography. He was an avid fan of the Hartford Whalers, the New York Yankees, and UCONN women’s basketball. Roger will be missed sorely by his family as they take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

Roger is survived by his sons, Thomas Nuzzo and his wife, Sherri, of Waterbury and Kevin Nuzzo and his fiancée, Tammy Nolan, of Bristol, his daughter, Anjannette Orlowski and her husband, Adam, of Newington, his grandchildren, Miranda, Elliott, Bennett, Paige, and Christopher, his sister, Janice Brayne and her husband, Bill, of Plainville, and his nephews Kenneth Lank, Scott Brayne, and Todd Brayne and their families. Roger also leaves behind the mother of his children, Noella Nuzzo and his former spouse and best friend, Lisa Figueiredo. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Quinne and the love of his life, Laurene Nuzzo.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 9 to 10 AM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Roger’s life will be held at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
