Pauline D. (Magnant) Blanchette passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021 at Lake Way Nursing Home in Benton, KY. Her children were with her the day of her passing. Pauline was the widow of Joseph R. Blanchette who passed away in 2010. She’s predeceased by her sister Elaine Cormier, her twin brother Paul, brothers Edward and Romeo. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Gerald E. Blanchette, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Holy Family High School in New Bedford, MA in 1949.
She was the daughter of the late Romeo Magnant and Laura (Cote) Magnant. Joseph and Pauline were married April 20, 1953 in New Bedford, MA and soon after moved to Bristol, CT where they raised their family. She leaves behind her son Paul and his fiance Sara Crosbie, James and his wife Barbara, David and his wife Cindy Baker, John and his wife Tonya, daughters Donna Reopell and her partner John Parker and Jo-Ann Silverio and her husband Joseph.
While their children were in high school, they held an open house every Sunday for their children and friends. Pauline was an accomplished ballroom dancer and loved to cook, bake and sew. She was a daily communicant at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bristol.
Soon after her husband passed, Pauline moved to Murray, KY with her youngest son John. She lived in Kentucky for ten years until her passing.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on November 20 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St, Plainville, CT at 9:30 AM, followed by a private burial.
