Lynn Ingvertsen Obituary

Lynn (Fields) Ingvertsen, 65, of Burlington, formerly of Bristol, passed away with her daughters by her side on Friday, September 16, 2022, following a brief and hard fought fight with a rare lung disease.

Born in Bristol on June 25, 1957, she was one of four children to Rosalie (Green) Fields of Plainfield and the late Orville “Lucky” Fields.  Raised and educated in Bristol, she was a 1975 graduate of Bristol Central High School, where her love for cheerleading began.  She had a lifelong passion for physical activity, as a personal trainer, and through her many years as a much loved cheerleading coach for Pop Warner and at Farmington High School where she was affectionately known as “Ingvy”.  She was currently working for EmblemHealth through Connecticare, where she shared her kind voice as a customer service representative for the past 10 years.  A member of Winding Trails for more than 30 years, Lynn was a familiar face who, when she wasn’t sun bathing in her bikini, served on many committees and was instrumental in making decisions on improvements, projects and the betterment of one of her favorite places.   She will be missed beyond words by the many lives she’s impacted, and will forever be remembered for her strength and love.

She leaves her daughters and best friends, Bailey Dailey and her husband Rich; and Spencer Ingvertsen and her boyfriend Grant Harris; her grandchildren to whom she was the proudest “Marmie”, Emerson and Lucas Dailey; her twin sister, Laurie Plourd; her sister, Kelly Hall (Kevin) and brother, Clay Fields (Lisa); many nieces and nephews, her former husband and dear friend, Dane Ingvertsen; and her beloved and spoiled fur babies, Henrietta and Mackenzie.  She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jane Fields, and her much loved and influential grandmother, Henrietta Green.

Family and friends may gather for a life celebration on Friday, October 7, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Winding Trails Boathouse, 50 Winding Trails Dr., Farmington, CT.  A sunset ceremony will be held at 6:30, followed by refreshments.  Guests are invited to wear Lynn’s favorite color, yellow.  While (yellow) flowers are welcome, she may also be remembered with contributions to Winding Trails.  The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to Lynn’s family for their trust.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
