Lucas Mickael Brewer, 15, of Plainville, was tragically taken from us far too soon on Monday, July 19, 2021, while fulfilling his love for swimming at the Farmington River.
Born in Bristol on January 23, 2006, Lucas was eager to start his sophomore year at Plainville High School, and ready to hit the football field in his #14 jersey. Full of life and always on the go, Lucas played Pop Warner Football since elementary school, and was the consummate teammate on his travel basketball leagues. When he wasn’t playing team sports, he could be found riding dirt bikes, swimming, or meeting his friends at the park. Lucas was full of kindness…despite the “tough guy” exterior that he tried to portray….whose infectious sense of humor and appropriately used sarcasm left those around him in constant laughter. A much loved son, brother, and friend, he will be missed beyond words by the many heartbroken lives that he touched.
In addition to his parents of Plainville, he leaves his brothers and sisters, Dylan, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, Sarah, Mark, Dennis and Al; his grandmothers, Theresa Price and Sophia Creighton; his great-grandmother, Gwendolyn Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville, followed by committal at Forestville Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Friday evening, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
