Linda A. Zommer (Fabrizio)

Linda A. Zommer (Fabrizio), 77, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, formerly of Plainville, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

Born in New Britain on May 4, 1945, she was one of five children to the late Michael and Helen (Vedeski) Zommer.  Linda was a lifelong resident of Plainville, graduating from PHS in 1963, and was a retiree of UBI Credit Union, after many enjoyable years as their slightly aggressive and very effective collections manager.  A member of the Plainville Campground Association where she leaves many friends, she kept her hometown close at heart while fulfilling her love for the beach and moving to Barefoot Bay three years ago.  She had a passion for cooking and baking, loved a good martini, and was known for her month-long Christmas cookie and fudge making extravaganza every December.  Island and beach vacations with her family and friends, along with annual winter trips to Aruba and St. Croix were highlights that she looked forward to, and her infectious silliness and carefree personality made her the most fun to be around.  A devoted mother, “Bammy”, sister and friend, she will be missed dearly, leaving a legacy of love, laughter and many priceless memories.

She leaves her daughters, Patricia (Fabrizio) Buehler and her husband Harold “Buddy” Buehler of Plainville; Dena (Fabrizio) Botsacos and her husband Peter of East Hampton; and her adored grandchildren, Chelsey Reed, Zachery Buehler, Griffin Botsacos and Paige Botsacos, and her great-granddaughter, Amelia Reed.  She also leaves her beloved sisters and travel companions, Janet Vandrilla, her twin sister, Susan Cameron and her husband Gary, Frances Krysiak and her husband Alan and her sister-in-law Linda Zommer; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.  She was predeceased by her brother, Michael “Butch” Zommer.
