Lawrence Jepeal Obituary

Lawrence Stanley Jepeal, 71 of Bristol, loving and devoted father, incredible brother, the “cool uncle”, a true gentleman and friend to all, left this earthly life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, following a brief illness.  Larry lived on his terms, as the only rules he followed were his own.

Born in Hartford, CT on September 9, 1950, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Infante) Jepeal, and was a longtime, talented woodworker by trade.   Larry was an endless seeker of knowledge, some might say a “know it all”, which gave him an edge during the endless heated debates he had with his family and friends, always backing his argument with facts.   A creative thinker and story teller, with the most beautiful mind, he found peace in the outdoors, spending many days fishing, hiking and camping with his son. He loved experimenting in the kitchen, inspired by his mother’s recipes and the many chefs he followed on YouTube and PBS. Often seen speeding around in his beloved red Mazda Miata, Larry lived fast and played hard, with an unforgettable laugh that was so infectious you couldn’t help but join him.  A human rights champion and voice for the little guy, Larry’s wide circle of friends knew he could be relied upon, especially, for directions or a restaurant recommendation (likely to a diner) anywhere in the US, or for just bringing a smile to your face.  He will be missed beyond measure, leaving the world a much better, groovier place.

He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Borrelli and her husband Fran of Bristol; his niece Jessica Coelho and her husband Eric; his nephew Matthew Borrelli and his wife Tina; his grandson, Nathaniel Isaiah Jepeal; six adored great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins and special friends including Rick “Digger” DiGiacomo and “Larry’s Girls”. He was predeceased by his son, Nathaniel David Jepeal.

Donations in Larry’s memory may be made to World Central Kitchen at http://www.wck.org or to PBS at http://www.pbs.org

Larry will best be remembered and honored by living your life to the fullest, being present and making no concessions!
