Jeffrey Little Obituary

Jeffrey Little, 64, of Cheshire, formerly of Plainville, passed away from complications of Covid 19 on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain.

Born in New Britain on November 2, 1956, he was the only son of the late Frank and Myrna (Giggey) Little.  Raised and educated in Plainville, Jeff was a 1974 graduate of Plainville High School, where was known for his athleticism, having a lifelong passion for the game of baseball.  He went on to play for many local baseball leagues, and will be remembered for his speed and accuracy in the outfield.  A die hard Red Sox fan, he shared his love for the game with his family.  He enjoyed playing golf, taking his children fishing, and cheering on the NY Giants. Jeff beamed with pride when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, most especially on their vacations together to South Carolina.  Gone too soon, but not soon forgotten, he will be greatly missed by his family and tight circle of friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Vigue and her husband, Jonathan of Hahira, GA and Brandi Smart and her husband Justin of Plainville; his son, Sean Little; his three adored grandchildren, Lilah Vigue, Liliana Murphy and Elias Smart; and his lifelong buddy who was like a brother, Robert Robbins, affectionately known as “Uncle Bobby”.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held and announced at a later date, when all are able to safely travel and gather together in remembrance.  The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to Jeff’s family for their trust.  For future service information and online expressions of sympathy, please visit Jeff’s tribute page at www.PLAINVILLEFUNERALHOME.com
