Helen R. Kisluk, 96, of Southington, formerly of Plainville passed away peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She is now reunited with her loving husband, Edward Kisluk, Sr. and her beloved son, Edward Kisluk, Jr.
Helen was born on May 18, 1926 in Wapping, CT daughter to the late John and Mary (Kordek) Ramias. Helen and her husband settled in Plainville where they raised their four boys. She was a devoted mother and always supported her children through the years. She was involved in every aspect of her children’s lives, from cub scout days, being their biggest fan at their baseball games, and attending Ranger Andy Shows or dog races, creating many memorable moments together. Helen was a natural at being a mother and homemaker and took pride in taking care of her family. She was a talented knitter, quilter, and crocheter, sharing many of her creations with her family members. Helen enjoyed baking and cooking and her family will miss her recipes. A gambler at heart, she enjoyed visiting the casinos and raved about her trip to Atlantic City. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Athletic Backers Club. A sweet woman, with much love to spread onto others, Helen will be missed as her family takes comfort in the many wonderful years they were able to share with her.
Helen is survived by her sons, John Kisluk and his partner Marilyn, Robert Kisluk, and Ronald Kisluk and his partner Melanie, all of Plainville; her six grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; her close niece, Linda Medura, who Helen considered a daughter; and several extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Kisluk, Sr. and her son, Edward Kisluk, Jr.
Helen’s family will celebrate her life with private services. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen can be made to the Faith Bible Church, 168 Unionville Ave, Plainville, CT 06062.
