Gregory Arsenault Obituary

Gregory William Arsenault, 72, formerly of Terryville, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Hartford Hospital.  He was the husband of Joyce (McCann) who was by his side for more than 50 years as he fought many health battles with an admirable great strength and determination.

Born in Darmisoctta, ME on April 14, 1948, he was one of fourteen children to the late John and Marion (Mallett) Arsenault.  A man of many talents in multiple trades, Greg excelled at woodworking, and enjoyed his position at Terryville Furniture where he made many friends.  Upon his retirement, he assisted his children in their businesses and enjoyed working on his prized possession, his ’56 Chevy.  Proud of Maine roots, trips back home always brought a smile to his face, even if just for the day to grab a good meal and pay a quick visit to his family.  The life of the party and never one to pass judgement, his door was always open to family and friends and became a second home to many.   Remembered for his gracious hospitality, tenacity and love for his family, he will be missed beyond words, leaving many priceless memories.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, he leaves his children, Kenneth Arsenault, Bradley Arsenault and his wife, Denise, and Christie Mozelak and her husband, Tim; and was the proud “Grampee” to Brandon, Dakota and his girlfriend, DeAnna Dempsey and their son, James;  Jay, Dari and Josh.  He also leaves his sisters, Vi Saucier, Irene Windsor, and Connie McCarthy; many nieces and nephews; his friend and side kick Brian Monahan, and special friends Ken Kozee and Bill Alishin who were like sons to him.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Cecelia Follett, John Arsenault, Jr., Madeline Gamage, Albert Arsenault, Sylvia Purcell, Richard Arsenault, Carol Prucha, Brenda Arsenault and David Arsenault.

Gregory’s family will host a celebration of his life at a later date when all are able to travel and safely gather together.  The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to the Arsenault family for their trust.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
