Elizabeth Schaut Obituary

SWEET ELIZABETH

Elizabeth was sweet and simple (She was not a complicated person).  I will never forget her smile and willingness to forgive all from a heart of Love.

We married late in life in the town of Southington; she being near her retirement years with myself being considerably younger.  But that didn’t stop Love from winning us over to disregard age and time.

Spending her childhood years in Yalesville  with her Mother Anna (Lundberg) Brown who was born in Brooklyn, NY, and her father William Everett Brown, born in Iowa, may have prepared Elizabeth, born in Yalesville, for her marriage in the distant future to a man ALSO from the Midwest (me).

Elizabeth, as her four boys can tell you, was a hard working woman. She was able to care for her family of four and work along with her former husband (Bob Nyren) in the flower business they had in Plantsville, Ct.

Elizabeth loved flowers and flowers loved her. It is no wonder that through the years we were married (32 years this coming February) that she was the inspiration while we together planted and maintained gardens. We planted our own special garden at home too. God said to Adam in Genesis, “Make me a garden” and so he did.  And so did Elizabeth and I together  (Of course, the plants and flowers responded much better to her than they did to me!)

In her later years when she became unable to go out and walk in the garden in the Sun, she still had the beauty of the flowers within her soul.  To me, she was the most beautiful flower I ever met. I could not believe from the time we first met, and even now that God had allowed me to have the honor to be the “other-half” of such a beautiful soul as Our Dear Sweet Elizabeth.

We will all miss you so much.

                                        Your Honey Husband, Dennis
