Debra (Thompson) Robinson

Debra (Thompson) Robinson, 68, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 10, 2021.  She was the wife and best friend of James Robinson with whom she shared 49 years of love and inseparable life adventures.

Born on February 13, 1953, she was one of two children of Wanda (Mickiewicz) Thompson of Plainville and the late Wilfred Thompson.  A longtime resident, Debra was a graduate of Plainville High School.  Known to always have her hair looking perfect, Debra strived to do the same for others working as a hairdresser after attending the Academy of Hairdressing in New Britain.   A devoted daughter, Debra cared for her family from a young age, and became a loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose home was always open and impeccably clean.  Trips to the casino for BINGO games and slots were frequent on her agenda and where she found much joy and excitement.  A kindhearted woman who always spoke her mind, she will be missed immensely and is now at peace.

In addition to her husband James, she leaves her daughter Wendy Loubier; her grandsons Tyler and Tanner Loubier; her brother Gerald (Jerry) Thompson and his wife Diane; many nieces, nephews and extended family in Maine; and her faithful support dog, Maggie.  She was predeceased by her infant children, Kevin James and Shelly Jean, and her daughter Jill Marie Robinson, with whom she is now reunited.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St, Plainville.  Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Family and friends may gather at the church prior to the mass, from 9-10 a.m.  The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to the Robinson family for their trust.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
