William John Tata, 76, of Plainville, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
Born in Waterbury on December 26, 1942, he was one of four children to the late Eugene and Edna (Pomeroy) Tata. Raised in Waterbury, he attended local schools, and enlisted in the US Navy after graduating high school. He proudly served his country for 3 years, and was honorably discharged in 1963. Bill met the love of his life, Doris (Beliveau) upon his return, with whom he would share the next 52 years. They settled in Plainville where they raised their four children, while he worked for various companies as a master tool maker, retiring from Peter Paul Electronics in New Britain, where he leaves many friends. A hard worker and true family man, he was a devoted husband, father and proud Pepérè, who leaves a legacy of love for his family, his infectious sense of humor, and many cherished memories.
In addition to his wife, Doris, he leaves his daughter Pauline; his three sons, William, Mark and Eric and their wives; his adored grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Emily, Nicole, Mark, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Johnathan and Nathanial; and his two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Baden. He also leaves his brother, Thomas, his sister, Eileen LaFreniere and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Tata.
