Joseph Fama Obituary

Joseph A. (Joe) Fama, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2018 in Glendale, AZ.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stephanie, who affectionately referred to him as the “Love of her Life”; his two daughters, Tina Capsalors of Southington and Gina Fama of Kingman, AZ; his stepdaughter, Trish Grey-Wolf of Bristol; his grandchildren, Malorey and Brandon; sisters, Angela Miller and Delores Likley; and his beloved dogs, “The Girls”, Honey Bun, Betty, and Gracie.

Joe was born in Waterbury on May 4, 1943, the youngest of seven children to the late Rosario and Agnes (Richusicho) Fama.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1965.  Joe enjoyed working with his hands, becoming a fighter plane mechanic during his time in the military.  He then parlayed that gift of hand craftsmanship into the construction trade.  He later switched gears, earned his degree in architecture, and became an educator, allowing him to share his vast knowledge with the next generation.  Joe had many hobbies including painting, collecting antique cars, doing crossword puzzles, and devoted much of his time to coin collecting. He leaves a vast legacy and many cherished memories.

His family will celebrate his life in the spring when he will be returned to his hometown of Waterbury and placed for eternity with his parents and his brother, Ross at Calvary Cemetery.
