Jeremy “Jamie” Jacques, 43, of Southington, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 3, 2019.
The son of Susan Kelly, Jamie was born in Hartford on May 8, 1976 and was a lifelong resident of Southington. He attended local schools and New England Technical Institute where he studied to be an electrician, expanding on his talents at home improvements. A sports enthusiast and fan of the Detroit Lions, Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox, he, above all, was a good friend to many and a proud and loving Uncle Jamie. He is now free and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Susan, he leaves his sisters, Cory Jacques of Southington and Samantha Wynne and her husband, John of Seal Beach, CA; his niece Elison and nephew John “Harry” Wynne who brought him much joy; his aunt, Maureen McClay and many cousins with whom he shared lifelong bonds. He was predeceased by his aunt, JoAnn Martinson and his uncles, Kenneth Martinson and George McClay.
In lieu of flowers, Jamie may be remembered with contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral services in celebration of Jamie’s life will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, Flanders Rd, Southington. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
