Amanda L. Adorno, 28, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 15, 2019, with her family and friends by her side at the Hospital for Special Care.
The daughter of Rosa Flores, Amanda was in the care of her foster parents, Thomas and Roberta McConnell for more than twenty years. She attended both New Britain and Plainville Schools and will be remembered for her big brown eyes and infectious smile that would brighten the days of everyone she encountered. She had an enduring strength, facing even the toughest challenges with optimism and her winning smile, and will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
In addition to her mother and her parents, she leaves her sisters, Maribel and Dessire Morales; her brothers, Tom and Bob McConnell; her nieces and nephews, Ben McConnell, Junious and Tatiana Gomez, Xyiere and Izryal Morales, Damyean and Jazyre Guzman, and Natalia Rodriguez; and many dedicated and loving caretakers, nurses and doctors who became her second family. She was predeceased by her sister, Nicole.
Family and friends may gather in celebration of Amanda’s life on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. Words of remembrance will be shared at 11 a.m., followed by committal services at West Cemetery, Plainville.
