Steven E. Nesbitt 68, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at home, in the arms of the love of his life, Donna Pisiakowski on Tuesday December 27, 2022.
Born in Hartford on October 26, 1954, he was the son of the late Stuart and Doris (Gaudette) Nesbitt. Raised and educated in Rocky hill by his father and stepmother Barbara Nesbitt, Steven attended local schools and pursued a career in the manufacturing industry. A machinist who was proud of his 40 years of dedication, Steven worked many years at Widger manufacturing in Plainville, before retiring from RDG technologies in Bristol.
Steve had a lifelong love for the outdoors, having a special place in his heart for Rhode Island in his younger days at the family’s cottage on the beach to his ski home in northern Vermont where he loved to ski and made many friends.
A motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed many years of riding his beloved Harley with Donna holding on tight.
With his retirement came the love of camping, The Happy Life of fishing, bird watching and ice cream, watching Nascar and bull riding on tv and most of all his grandchildren.
Gone too soon but not soon forgotten, Steve fought a hard battle with cancer and he will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
Along with Donna, he leaves his daughter Amie Black and his beloved family, his sons Joseph Bokanoski and wife Rebecca, and James Dardis and wife Sarah. He was a proud Papa to grandsons who brought him so much joy, Jaxon Bokanoski (5) and James Dardis (11 months) and Christopher Black, Jr. (2)
He also leaves his siblings James Nesbitt, Daniel Nesbitt, Carol Person, Sandra Scavetta, Kelli Chenault and Lynn Carter along with many nieces and nephews and extended family as well as his four legged friends his “best friend” Bo and his “little girls” Miss Maple and Misiu.
Steve is now reunited with his brothers Bruce Nesbitt, whom he missed dearly since he was 4, and Robert Fletcher.
