Kathleen Carroll-Goff, 69, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. She is now reunited with her husband, Claude “Chip” Goff.
Born in New Britain on September 22, 1953, she was one of four children to the late William P. Carroll, Sr. and Ethel E. (Kosa) Carroll. Raised and educated in Plainville, where she was known for her athleticism and love for sports, Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Plainville High School. An avid reader and spectator of sports in her later years, she was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN women’s basketball. She and Chip had a special place in their hearts for Saranac Lake, having made many frequent trips during their time together. Kathy worked as a document control specialist for Eversource, where she leaves many friends and colleagues. Fiercely independent and strong willed, with a keen sense of humor, Kathy lived simply, loved her family deeply, and will be missed dearly, leaving many cherished memories.
She is survived by her brother, William P. Carroll, Jr., his wife Kathleen and their children, Neil, Michael and Bryan; her favorite niece, Nancy Eastwood and her husband Mark, and their sons Bryan and his wife Eliza and Brandon and his wife Robin; and her niece Jeannie Murphy and her family and her great nephews, Ryan and Nate Murphy. She was predeceased by her sister, Diane Carroll-Lombard, her brother, David Carroll and her nephew, Jere Murphy, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, Kathy may be remembered with contributions to the Hospital of Central Connecticut, C-5 Garden Fund, 100 Grand St, New Britain, CT 06050.
